Second Year

BEING A ?2L?

Being a ?2L? involves taking advantage of on-campus recruiting and all the services provided by your career planning office and LawTutors. Time management is critical during your second year in law school since you are balancing numerous interviews daily with classes, schoolwork, journal obligations and extracurricular activities. Sanity is key and if you approach job interviewing in an organized manner, you will dramatically increase your chances of landing a job. Just be prepared to talk about yourself a lot and wear a suit almost everyday!

Your Second Year Classes

There is a better way to study for your ?2L? classes than using commercial study aides and supplements. Students need individual attention on specific subjects and the ability to have their questions answered.
During your second year, you are free to take any courses you wish, although some law schools require you take certain classes.

LawTutors offers assistance in the following areas:

? Criminal Law
? Criminal Procedure
? Constitutional Law
? Fiduciary Relations
? Wills/Trusts
? Professional Responsibility
? Business Organizations
? Agency/Partnership
? Family Law
? Commercial Paper
? Secured Transactions
? Chapter 93A
? Federal Taxation
? Bankruptcy
? Administrative Law
? Evidence

Between law review, moot court and interviewing, you may have made the mistake of believing people when they said it would all get easier after the first year of law school.

It doesn’t.

It just changes. Instead of spending all of your time worrying whether you know what you’re doing, you’re spending your time writing more papers, interviewing for jobs, interning, etc.

Let LawTutors assist you with all of the above, including succeeding in your classes [yes, you still have those]. LawTutors assist 2Ls in the following ways:

  • Resume & Cover Letter Writing Assistance
  • Mock Interviews by Attorneys From The Surrounding Areas
  • Reviewing and Editing Your Writing Sample
  • Tackling Upper-Level Classes
